The move came one week after the 34-year-old was dealt from Detroit to Denver along with guard Chauncey Billups and reserve center Cheikh Samb for Allen Iverson.
McDyess did not play a game in his third stint with the Nuggets, but registered 7.0 points and 4.0 rebounds in two games with the Pistons.
